Many moons ago, a fresh-faced lad from Gloucestershire bravely made his way through the hallowed doors of an Other Guys audition and gave a rendition of King David from his days as a cathedral chorister.
It is said that those in the room were overcome with this angelic voice, their epiphany was almost biblical. That day was the day Laurence Pemberton auditioned.
Having swapped his Elizabethan ruff for some slightly more modern attire, Laurence became a cornerstone of the group. A man of many talents, (albeit without the ability to blend) he quickly became Head of Arrangements, Head of Auditions, Assistant Musical Director and finally coveted Musical Director. All within two years.
But this impressive list of achievements goes beyond official titles. In only his first year, his arrangement of It's Raining Men reached tens of thousands of views on YouTube and it still the one piece guaranteed to get the audience on their feet. This year at the Fringe, he lead the group to sell out EVERY SINGLE SHOW.
You would think that with all these accomplishments, Laurence wouldn't be able to fit out the door. This is somewhat true, but only because he is so tall. Instead he is the most genuine guy and caring friend. He is the first to suggest a daily dose of Vitamin T(ennants) and the last to put down the offer of a great night out. All in all, he is everything an Other Guy could hope to be.
